My nervous golden retriever has been much calmer during thunderstorms since we started using this toy. The lavender scent is noticeable but not overpowering, and he carries it around everywhere.

My anxious pup actually settled down and napped on the couch after playing with this for ten minutes. The lavender scent is calming without being overpowering.

The lavender scent is definitely noticeable right out of the bag, and it seems to mellow my hyper dog out during crate time. The fleece material is soft enough that he'll actually chew on it instead of my shoes, which is a win.
